The holidays are a time of connection, joy and storytelling—values at the core of our creative purpose. For the 2024 holiday season, we told a vibrant and eclectic story with Festive Fables, an ambitious campaign that leveraged creative storytelling, custom illustration and animation, a strong digital presence, a curated collection of gifts and purposeful community support.

Festive Fables showcased how imaginative branding and intentional design can make a lasting impact while spreading holiday cheer.

DIGITAL PRESENCE

Festive Fables launched with a custom microsite and a captivating three-part email campaign that brought the magic of the season to life. The microsite served as the central hub for all things Festive Fables, showcasing animated introductions to our wonder-filled Able Fable characters, alongside fill-in-the-blank Fab Libs and an invitation to join us in our efforts to spread the holiday spirit through community relief efforts in Western North Carolina. The email campaign expanded the story of the characters and our purpose, engaging audiences and driving traffic to the site.

FAB LIBS

Storytelling is at the heart of Able&Co., and our Fab Libs took this to the next level by inviting readers to co-create whimsical holiday tales with us. Inspired by our fun Able Fable characters, each Fab Lib was an interactive experience that encouraged creativity while embodying Able&Co.’s core values of imagination, connection and purpose.

Fab Libs were available to complete online or in a limited edition print book inspired by classic Mad Libs sent to select clients. We used our campaign’s charity component to motivate users to share completed stories on social media, enabling audiences to enjoy this playful experience and amplify the campaign’s message and reach.

SOCIAL PRESENCE

The magic of Festive Fables extended across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X (Twitter). Our digital Fab Libs became a key driver of engagement, connecting seamlessly to interactive social posts and animations. The Able Fable characters starred in reels, posts and stories, inviting audiences to join the holiday fun. For every Fab Lib shared on social media we contributed $25 to our giving campaign, blending creativity with meaningful action.

GIVING CAMPAIGN

Festive Fables was also about making a real-world impact. The campaign supported recovery efforts for Western North Carolina communities affected by Hurricane Helene. We partnered with MANNA FoodBank and Brother Wolf Animal Rescue, raising funds to provide essential resources like food and shelter. Each repost of a Fab Lib generated additional donations, turning audience participation into community support.

CREATURE COMFORTS

To spread the warmth of Festive Fables, we created the Creature Comforts Collection—a curated set of holiday gifts inspired by the Able Fable characters. These gift boxes sent to clients were filled with local products like popcorn from Asheville, coffee beans from Boone and chocolates from Raleigh, highlighting the spirit of North Carolina’s small businesses. Each purchase contributed to hurricane relief efforts, blending holiday cheer with purposeful giving.

CONCLUSION

Festive Fables captured the holiday spirit through a campaign that was imaginative, impactful, and deeply connected to Able&Co.’s values.
